I listened to this webinar the other day from Tourism Cares on “Inclusivity is Sustainability” focused on how to make the tourism industry more inclusive from a panel of experts from AIANTA/NativeAmerican.Travel, Hospitable Me, Sage Seven (accessible travel) and the Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with Visit Sacramento, I thought it might be a good resource for my colleagues. You can find the recording here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-IDj4sxxBQ

I found this blog post, Evaluating Equity in Suppliers and Tour Operators, helpful when thinking about how to evaluate our tour operator partners for our Travel Program. There is a downloadable form that provides quantitative and qualitative questions to use in the evaluation process. I don’t think this is an end-all form, but it provides a good starting place to help you think about the types of considerations to use when looking at external partners, as well as what you and your organization can do to help advance equity and social justice.
