For nearly four decades, the Educational Travel Conference (ETC) has been the premier gathering for professionals in educational, experiential, and affinity travel. Since 1987, ETC has convened a highly qualified, international community of nonprofit travel planners, tour operators, suppliers, and destinations—all committed to advancing the design, operation, and marketing of transformative travel programs.
Each year, more than 300 delegates come together for several days of inspired sessions, rich peer learning, and memorable networking events. By design, ETC is kept intimate to ensure meaningful connections, small-group discussions, and high-quality educational exchanges among colleagues from like-minded organizations. ETC is the founding conference for alumni, museum, zoo, conservation, and nonprofit educational travel, making it a one-of-a-kind forum where innovation and collaboration thrive.

For those new to the field, ETC offers the hybrid Jumpstart Seminar, providing essential skills and peer connections before and during the conference. And beginning in 2024, ETC also launched the Travel Planner Certification program, offering a structured pathway for professional recognition and career advancement.
