Chattanooga is vibrant, thriving & features the world’s first LEED platinum certified airport terminal

Surrounded by rivers & mountains, it is stunningly beautiful. Its growing arts, music & dining  is complemented by world-class attractions & cutting edge-amenities.

Travel to Chattanooga

Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) is located just five miles from the heart of the city. CHA is the first aviation terminal in the World to be LEED Platinum Certified. There are five commercial airliners that are serviced by the airport. It is just a 25 minute flight from ATL to CHA. In our document library, we have compiled some suggested flights (as of June 2019) to/from CHA. These suggestions allow you to:

  • Arrive at the hotel in time for the opening session on February 3, 2020, 6:45 pm
  • Depart from the hotel after the closing BOLD Talk on February 6, 2020, 9:45 am

So you don’t miss out on pre-or-post-conference activities, always review the conference agenda before making flight arrangements.

Walk the Talk of Sustainability

Reduce the environmental impact of your travel for the conference. Consider offsetting your airfare emissions using our handy guide!

REduce environmental impact

We are pleased to announce that the carbon emissions for the land portion of the 2020 Conference have been offset for each attendee and ETC staff! Based on industry averages, this includes airport transfers, hotel rooms, meals & beverages, and meeting space.

Carbon offsetting for ETC 2020 was a goal identified by the Sustainable Tourism Committee and it will be facilitated and funded in entirety by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The WWF offsetting does not include individual attendee airfares – only the land portion of the Conference, based on number of attendees.

Also, check out the Convention Center’s sustainable practices to be energy efficient and stay environmentally friendly.

Finally, Marriott invites you to “Make a Green Choice” by forgoing daily room cleaning and choosing to plant a tree or receive Marriott Bonvoy points instead. In addition, they have the following sustainability initiatives: low flow toilets, towel reuse program, no bleach, bed linens changed every 3 days unless otherwise indicated, smoke-free hotel, office paper & cardboard recycling, staff volunteers in the community.

Getting Around

The Chattanooga CVB has made a personalized map for ETC attendees.

Ground Transportation The Chattanooga airport is 5 miles from the city center.  Uber and taxis serve the airport. More here.

Atlanta Arrivals The drive is less than two hours from Atlanta to Chattanooga. Options are car rentals and a very convenient shuttle service: Groome Transportation for a shuttle Chattanooga <-> Atlanta; $44/one-way, $88/round-trip
