Teaching Through Tourism
FALL SYMPOSIUM
The Quest for Authentic & Inclusive Travel Learning Experiences

November 8-11, 2021
Higgins Hotel & Hilliard Conference Center
New Orleans, Louisiana

Safety protocols in place to help our members, presenters & colleagues remain safe & healthy

Join peers and national experts for a unique professional development opportunity this fall. A collaboration between Hargrove International and ETC – with major support from the Louisiana Office of Tourism, the Louisiana Byways Program, the National WWII Museum and the Higgins Hotel New Orleans – this Symposium will serve as a catalyst for advancing educational travel and heritage tourism post-COVID.  This collaboration will add a new and innovative dimension to programming as well as bring complimentary constituencies together.

The focus will be on the critical legal, safety, marketing and programming issues in post-COVID recovery and growth. Roundtables, top experts, intensive learning sessions, and skill-building blocks are featured in a timely and content-rich agenda. Two parallel tracks – the Cultural Heritage Tourism track and an Educational Travel track – will deliver content specific to their community. Outstanding plenaries will offer insights from national experts on topics relevant to advancing both educational travel and cultural heritage tourism in the 21st century.

The New Orleans You Love is Coming Back! Kitchens are bustling, street corners are musical again, shops are open and museums are ready to walk you through history.

TRANSPORTATION
