To create and maintain a safe space for respectful discussion and learning in the forum, here are a set of DEI Initiative values and guidelines. We will support each other by disarming the fear of making mistakes and helping each other grow together.
By participating in this forum, I agree to uphold these shared values:
• Confidentiality; Speak your truth- feel welcome to share your experiences without judgment.
• Take risks. It’s okay to be clumsy.
• Experience discomfort as this is how we truly grow and create the change we want to see. Expect and accept non-closure.
• Radical Listening: Give our full selves and our attention; Participate with respect and non-judgement for others and ourselves; Allow space for grace in order to understand and reconcile missteps with compassion.
• Assumption of significance: Welcoming and appreciating differing perspectives.
• Emotions are welcomed.
• Stay engaged: expand knowledge outside our shared time together.
• Blameless yet responsible. We have a responsibility, but are not to blame for all the problems of the world.
